DAD

ETC INSPIRATION BLOG DAD MULTIPLE MYELOMA CANCER STEM CELL TRANSPLANT DONOR

Last night, my father passed away after battling cancer for almost four years.
He's had three close calls, but this time it happened + I am heartbroken.

I am going to be taking a short break from blogging to be with my family. I mentioned to someone earlier that blogging has always served as a great distraction, so I will definitely be back at it soon.

In honor of my dad, I urge you to take a moment to consider donating your stem-cells to help cure or even just help prolong the lives of others suffering from cancer + other diseases. While my father's stem cell transplant from a donor did not cure his cancer, it gave him another precious year to be with us + we couldn't be more thankful.

Find out more about donating here.

I miss you dad. I'll love you forever. You will always be our Jamdula bonehead.

  1. My prayers go out to you and your family. I am a grad student at Johns Hopkins Medical and I never realized how under represented researchers are in this field. Donations in any way or form go a long way to help support the work these people give their lives to do for the greater good. Just letting you know we're on the other side fighting just as hard as the patients and their families are. Chin up :] :]

  2. Just want to let you know how much I understand you. Tomorrow will be half a year since our family lost Granny. She battling canser so hard and we all be with her all that time, trying to do everything, realizing so much we can do nothing.

So sorry. Wish you and your family all the good.

  4. I am so sorry for your loss.
The same thing happened to my father few months ago. My father's last words to me were that 'Life will go on', and although it still hurts really bad and not a day goes by that I don't miss him, I assure you that soon you will start seeing nice things in life. You will start to forget the horrible moments and see the positive things in life...'cus there is a positive side in every thing.
Try to stay strong and think about all the wonderful moments spent with your dad!
